Morning Prayer

 

Good morning Father. 

I ask

As the dawning draws near and the night disappears
Help me Lord to walk closer to you.

Keep me here in your presence this morning my God,
Let me know that you watch and you care.
Father help me today
as I move in this world 
and I try walking closer to you.

I desire to be here, embraced with your arms

and held in the strength of your love,

Hold me up, dearest friend, keep me safe, help me stand.

And today tell me what I must do

to walk this day closer to you 

On the path of this life I have seen every day,
some beauty and darkness and sin.
But I have seen your dear face
in the world that you made
and I want to see clearly again,

To see life - through your love for all men. 

As my walk brings me near to the end of this journey,
let me walk this path slowly with you
let me see as you do, the people you love.

Father please help me to be to the people I see 
Reflecting that love back to you.

My God, 

Help me show them just you!
